A Sneak Peak

Preview of my hootsuite campaign

Say Hello and See What's Up! The name of the campaign is "What's Up On Todd's Table?" To show the level of investment Todd's Table has for the community, I created a friendly environment which is inclusive and promotes engagement. The terms and conditions must be signed before entry.

Hootsuite allows you to customize every aspect of your campaign, to allow specific terms and conditions specific to your taste and needs. The language you use must be clear, concise, and assertive. However, you must not scare others away. An increasing number of people are reading terms and conditions and scouring them for any negative or unclear conditions. This may bring an undesired outcome if not prepared for adequately.

The terms and conditions include Facebook's required disclaimer that states its separated relationship from the campaign. The information is as follows:

"This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing your information to Todd's Table operating under the Blackburn Community Outreach, and not to Facebook. The information you provide will be used for Todd's Table and its outreach for the community. You will not receive spam emails. You may receive an invitation to the Facebook group or page. Unless you grant permission, your information will not be shared with any other part of the organization or any outside organization. Todd's Table is a nonprofit, NGO that provides food access in Todd, NC. It is for the benefit of the community and the future of the community garden and food access programs to understand who may benefit from expanded food access, may be interested in volunteering, may want to stay updated, etc. Multiple entries are not necessary. There is no physical prize related to this campaign, however there is a large benefit to follow. You may be asked a small set of questions and to provide a headshot if you are interested in being featured on the Facebook page in a "new fan" post. Terms for that post must be agreed upon before the post is published. You may be updated on new locations of the market, new produce and products available at the market, and celebrations related to the pay-it-forward donations, insight on how to prepare and eat the local organic fruits, vegetables, spices, eggs, etc. You may also be able to join the conversation and contribute ideas that may benefit the community or aspects of the program. The sign-ups will be held until mid-September when the market takes a short break to reset and assess established needs or desires. At this time, members will still get updates or be able to join the community through support of conversations and programs."

The next step is scheduling and planning. Todd's Table cannot just send out this campaign and expect loads of subscribers. Instead, they will have to plan and schedule posts frequently throughout the duration of the campaign. This will establish energy, consistency, presence, visibility, clarity, and excitement!!! There is no turning back once the campaign is published, so the organization will have to hit the ground running. The next step is brainstorming post and finding a way to encourage more participation.
